Meet Coach Ellis Pfleger

I started wrestling at around 8 years old at my local youth club. I began to truly fall in love with the sport some years later when I started wrestling at AWA under Max Askren. The AWA system allowed me to see that my growth as a person and competitor was only limited by the effort I put in. This way of thinking allowed me to improve as a wrestler and achieve many of my goals in the sport. After wrestling at the University of Missouri for 4 years I moved out to New York to share this amazing sport with as many people as possible. This sport has given me many invaluable lessons and friendships that I will carry for the rest of my life. I want to continue to share these experiences with young athletes and help them become better people as well as wrestlers.

Credentials:
-WIAA State Champion
-2X WIAA State medalist
-2019 USAW All American
-4 year wrestler at Mizzou
-Career HS record of 152-31

AWA FAQs

  • Q: What does the membership look like?
    • A: You can purchase 3, 6, or 12 Month Memberships
      • i.e. You can elect to pay all upfront or monthly
    • We DO NOT allow drop ins as we think it incentivizes the wrong behavior
    • After your initial membership term, we’re happy to work with you to adjust your plan so it fits your schedule and needs.
      • Please note: we do require a minimum 3-month initial membership. This is because we want to make a true investment in your athlete’s growth, and it’s difficult to do that with only a short-term, one-month commitment.
Q: Will coaches be available at tournaments?
    • A: Yes, each manager will have a list of tournaments they encourage their athletes to attend and will send coaches to them.
    Q: How to sign up?
    • A: Follow link to our WrestlingIQ Platform
  • Q: Can I pause my membership if I have another sport, vacation, or camp?
    • A: Unfortunately, no. Memberships cannot be paused for planned time away.
  • Q: Can I come check out a practice?
    • A: We do a free week trial where you can attend as many practices as you would like during that week.
      • We would like you to still make a profile through the link below, but once it asks you to add something to your cart, you can stop.
